Hmm... I've never seen the TV version. I wonder if it's on YouTube.

Thanks for stopping by!
Barry P.https://www.blogger.com/profile/11251536316431708240noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1463671176628323648.post-9854981486049788052019-11-19T14:32:18.002-08:002019-11-19T14:32:18.002-08:00I've often wondered if Roman Polanski saw KISS...I've often wondered if Roman Polanski saw KISS OF THE VAMPIRE because of certain similarities in DANCE OF THE VAMPIRES. Regardless, it's an excellent vampire film and I quite like the ending (even if it looks a bit cheesy and doesn't totally make sense). Has you ever seen the re-edited TV version called KISS OF EVIL?Rick29https://www.blogger.com/profile/08358116647815569722noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1463671176628323648.post-12388975104360301862019-11-01T16:26:40.191-07:002019-11-01T16:26:40.191-07:00Oops! Thanks so much for hosting another extraordinary blogathon, and for letting me break the rules for my review.

This reminded me of The Devil Rides out as well. I think Ravna and Mocata would get along splendidly. BUT the fact that your review is so charming and well written assuages my guilt somewhat! And also as you say, this is a Hamner film, but few Hammer actors etc are in it. I so love your use of fun facts! I find them to be so fascinating and well, fun! As you say, this film is often overlooked and I actually watched it by mistake, as it was incorrectly labelled as The Vampire Lovers on YouTube, but I ended up really liking it. It reminds of The Devil Rides Out in its feeling of there being like a cult and Hammer dealing with class issues, which they also did in Plague of the Zombies. So interesting. I really liked how humour but also a real love for the film was evident throughout your review, too. Thanks so much for taking part with such a sharp (heh heh) post for my Blogathon!
