The National Geographic article that I referenced includes a great graphic, illustrating the difference between the climbing equipment used in 1924 vs. now. Even with modern equipment, it's still a daunting challenge. BFI's restoration is truly a sight to behold. It's gratifying to know that the BFI has honored these people and their film documents with such a great restoration.
